Nota: Oleh kerana kita juga terikat dengan Enakmen Keterangan Islam dan Akta Setem 1949, maka saya nasihatkan setiap wasiat yang laksanakan hendaklah disetemkan sewajarnya.

NOTA: Berdasarkan Ayat 282 Surah Al-Baqarah, "...hendaklah kamu mengadakan dua orang saksi lelaki dari kalangan kamu. Kemudian kalau tidak ada saksi dua orang lelaki, maka bolehlah, seorang lelaki dan dua orang perempuan dari orang-orang yang kamu setujui menjadi saksi, supaya jika yang seorang lupa dari saksi-saksi perempuan yang berdua itu maka dapat diingatkan oleh yang seorang lagi...."

Shocked Italian Nun Gives Birth to Baby Boy

A 31-year-old nun has given birth to a baby boy in Rieti, Italy, after experiencing abdominal pains she thought were stomach cramps.

After she was taken to a hospital, she gave birth to a baby and named him Francis after the current pope. The nun, originally from El Salvador, claims she had no idea she was pregnant.

The sister belongs to a convent which is located near the city of Rieti, which has a population of 47,700.

The nun belongs to the "Little Disciples of Jesus'' convent in Campomoro near Rieti, which manages an old people's home.

As news of the nun's pregnancy has spread, the mayor of Rieti, Simone Petrangi, asked local residents and media to give the woman privacy.

Clothes and donations have been collected and sent to the hospital where she gave birth.

"I did not know I was pregnant. I only felt a stomach pain," she told the Ansa news agency.

Other nuns at the convent also expressed shock at the mysterious pregnancy of a holy sister at their order, saying they were "very surprised", according to Italian media reports.

Don Fabrizio Borrelio, a local pastor, says he believes that the nun is telling the truth about being unaware of her pregnancy. He said the nun plans to take care of the baby herself.

The results of a study on reproductive health, published in the British Medical Journal, revealed that one in 200 US women claim to have given birth without ever having had sexual intercourse.

The BMJ reports that of the women who took part in the study, 45 (0.5%) reported at least one virgin pregnancy, "unrelated to the use of assisted reproductive technology".

They claim to have conceived without vaginal intercourse or in-vitro fertilisation (IVF).

The BMJ article notes that virgin births, or parthenogenesis (from the Greek parthenos for virgin and genesis for birth), can occur in non-humans as a consequence of "asexual reproduction, where growth and development of the embryo occurs without fertilisation".

However, the authors of the study, entitled "Like a virgin (mother)", warn that researchers need to take into account the possibility of fallible memory on the part of respondents.

Benda ini hanya popular (?) di Pantai Timur Semenanjung Malaysia sahaja. Di Terengganu, ia dikenali sebagai "Ubi Tapak Gajah", dan di Kelantan pula dikenali sebagai "Ubi Badak". Ubi ini agak besar saiznya, sehingga penah saya jumpa mencecah 3 kg setongkol! Jika dipotong, kawasan terpotong itu boleh sembuh sendiri. Pssst, mungkin para ahli sains boleh buat kajian tentang hal ini.
Cuma dalam kajian saya la, ubi ini sedap jika direbus dan dimakan bersama kelapa parut dan berlaukkan ikan goreng atau sambal bilis, atau daging bakar.

Jangan ZALIM

Diantara 10 pesan utama Imam As-Shafe’i adalah agar kita “membantu orang yang dizalimi”. 

Secara tersiratnya, dan seperti disebutkan dalam banyak nas, “kita samasekali tidak boleh menzalimi orang (termasuk menjadi pemerintah atau raja yang zalim). 

Salah satu doa yang mudah dimaqbulkan Allah adalah “doa orang yang dizalimi”.

 "Tiga doa yang mustajab (diterima) oleh Allah tanpa ragu-ragu: Doa orang yang dizalimi, doa orang bermusafir dan doa ayah kepada anaknya.”

Larangan melakukan perbuatan "zalim", bukan sahaja terhad terhadap manusia, tetapi juga terhadap hidupan lain, termasuk haiwan.

Cucur Daun Bawang

Kudapan yang mudah disediakan dan sedap (bagi tekak/selera saya la) adalah CUCUR DAUN BAWANG. Mudah untuk menyediakannya, dan kalau si pemakannya ramai, ia jadi murah, he he he.... Bagi saya yang dok sorang tapi malas keluar mencari makanan kat luar, maka buat jer sendiri sambil lepak-lepak sendirian...

Bahan-bahan:
Secawan tepung gandum
Sebiji telor
Sedikit garam
Sekitar seperdu daun bawang
Sedikit serbuk penaik

Caranya:
Potong daun bawang dan masukkan bersama semua bahan-bahan lain dan gaulkan dengan sedikit air (pastikan kelikatannya agar jangan terlalu cair).
Biarkan sekitar satu jam. zzzzzzzz (tidor dulu la weyyy...)
Panaskan kuali, masukkan minyak dan pastikan minyak betul-betul panas, dan gorenglah bancuhan tu sekitar satu sudu besar setiap tompok.

Sosnya:
Mudah jer.. Bancuh sos cili bersama sos tomato dan sedikit gula. Kalau nak ubah ssedikit rasa sos, boleh masukkan kelapa goreng, dan/atau bawang goreng, dan/atau kacang goreng yang ditumbuk halaus.

Tapai

Biasa dengar orang sebut "tapai"?
Biasa melihat "tapai"?
Biasa makan "tapai"?
Biasa BUAT "tapai"?

Ni caranya:
2 pot beras pulut, dimasak seperti memasak nasi dengan sukatan air juga seperti memasak nasi. Nota: Pastikan beras pulut dan periuk tersebut betul-betul bersih.
Setelah pulut masak, sejukkan sekitar separuh hari (agar betul-betul sejuk)
Hancurkan ragi (sekitar sebelah daripada sebiji ragi), dan gaulkan rata-rata dengan pulut.
Simpan di dalam bekas tertutup selama 3 hari. Kemudian boleh disejukkan di dalam peti sejuk.
Boleh la kalu nak makan punnn...

Laku musnah (Vandalisma)

Ini satu contoh paling mudah tentang perbuatan tangan-tangan nakal yang terjumlah kepada "laku musnah" (vandalisma):

"Hand of God."

The hand was produced when a star exploded and ejected an enormous cloud of material, which NASA's Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array, or NuSTAR, glimpsed in high-energy X-rays, shown in blue in the photo. NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory had imaged the green and red parts previously, using lower-energy X-rays.

"NuSTAR's unique viewpoint, in seeing the highest-energy X-rays, is showing us well-studied objects and regions in a whole new light," NuSTAR principal investigator Fiona Harrison, of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, said in a statement.

The new image depicts a pulsar wind nebula, produced by the dense remnant of a star that exploded in a supernova. What's left behind is a pulsar, called PSR B1509-58 (B1509 for short), which spins around 7 times per second blowing a wind of particles into material ejected during the star's death throes.

As these particles interact with nearby magnetic fields, they produce an X-ray glow in the shape of a hand. (The pulsar is located near the bright white spot in the image but cannot be seen itself, NASA officials said.)

Scientists aren't sure whether the ejected material actually assumes the shape of a hand, or whether its interaction with the pulsar's particles is just making it appear that way.

"We don't know if the hand shape is an optical illusion," Hongjun An, of McGill University in Montreal, said in a statement. "With NuSTAR, the hand looks more like a fist, which is giving us some clues."

The red cloud appearing at the fingertips is a separate structure called RCW 89. The pulsar's wind may be heating the cloud to produce the low-energy X-ray glow, astronomers believe.

The X-ray energies seen by NuSTAR range from 7 to 25 kiloelectron volts, or keV, whereas the energies seen by Chandra range from 0.5 to 2 keV.

The Hand of God is an example of pareidolia, the psychological phenomenon of perceiving familiar shapes in random or vague images. Other common forms of pareidolia include seeing animals or faces in clouds, or the man in the moon. Despite its supernatural appearance, the Hand of God was produced by natural astrophysical phenomena.
